Easton, P-burg players get ready for replay game at Eagles’ training complex

More than 50 former Easton and Phillipsburg High School football players traveled to Philadelphia this morning to tour and train at the Philadelphia Eagles practice facility in preparation for their April 26 Gatorade Replay game at Lafayette College’s Fisher Field.

The players received pep talks from Eagles head coach Andy Reid and Pro Bowl running back Brian Westbrook during the 90-minute workout session.

Today’s session gave the players from both teams — who played to a 7-7 tie in their annual 1993 Thanksgiving Day showdown — a chance to reminisce about their high school playing days.

Their tour of the NovaCare Complex included a look at the Eagles’ locker room, weight room and film rooms.

The Easton and Phillipsburg alumni will play a full-contact, full-pads four-quarter game at 3 p.m. on April 26. The game will be Webcast on http://www.missionG.com, a Web site of Gatorade, which is sponsoring the game.
