Lee Holmes is not about to play around with words.

The Easton wide receiver and defensive back hesitates little when asked who’s better between the Red Rovers and Phillipsburg.

Never mind that it’s 16 years after Holmes played on the Easton team that settled for a 7-7 tie with Phillipsburg on Thanksgiving Day at Lafayette’s Fisher Field.

The Gatorade Replay game at 3 p.m. on April 26 at Lafayette will settle matters once and for all and Holmes plans to make an impact.

Here’s Holmes’ profile and take of the game:

Age: 31.

Position: Wide receiver, defensive back.

Why you did not win in 1993? We didn’t win because we thought we were in the playoffs and took Phillipsburg too lightly.

Why you will win on April 26? Because we are Easton and my class never lost to P’burg and it ain’t gonna happen now. Oh yeah, and I might get the ball a couple times and you know what I do when I get the ball.

Got a score? Just watch the game.

My take? Love his attitude. Seems like a player who means business. Let’s hope it’s not all talk.
